Triple-Click Receiver Method
Auracast™ is a next-generation Bluetooth LE Audio technology that allows one device to broadcast audio to many receivers simultaneously, instead of traditional one-to-one Bluetooth pairing. This makes it ideal for TVs, public venues, museums, tour systems, and assistive listening solutions.
In some environments, multiple Auracast transmitters may broadcast audio at the same time. Users may therefore need a quick way to switch between different audio streams.
MoerLab receivers provide a convenient hardware method to rotate between available transmitters without requiring a smartphone or mobile application.
Triple-Click Channel Switching
Users can switch between broadcast streams simply by pressing the receiver button three times.
Each triple-click moves the receiver to the next available transmitter in sequence until the desired stream is selected.
How the Switching Process Works
- The receiver disconnects from the current broadcast.
- The device scans for the next available MoerLab transmitter.
- The receiver automatically connects to the next stream.
- Audio playback starts immediately.
Users can repeat the triple-click action until the preferred broadcast channel is reached.
Typical Use Cases
- Public TVs — Select audio from different televisions.
- Tour guide systems — Switch between language channels.
- Assistive listening — Easily choose the correct broadcast stream.
- Shared listening environments — Multiple audio sources in one space.
Compatibility Note
The triple-click broadcast switching function is supported only when using MoerLab transmitters (TX) together with MoerLab receivers (RX). Compatibility with transmitters from other brands is not guaranteed.
Auracast broadcast audio generally allows compatible devices to discover and join available streams, similar to selecting a Wi-Fi network. However, certain control features, such as button-based channel switching, may be implemented differently across device ecosystems.
