Lock/Unlock Pairing with the Current Transmitter

Lock/Unlock Pairing with the Current Transmitter

We’re excited to announce a new firmware feature for EchoBeatz™ Auracast™ Headphones that lets users lock the pairing to a specific transmitter—ensuring a stable and exclusive audio connection in professional and assistive environments.

🔄 Two Pairing Modes Now Available
With firmware version v1.1.5‑T1, EchoBeatz now supports two Auracast pairing modes, toggleable directly via the headphones:

1. Auracast™ Searching Mode (Unlock Mode)
Voice prompt: “dindong”

EchoBeatz™ will scan and connect to any available Auracast™ broadcast.

2. Lock Pairing Mode
Voice prompt: “ding”

EchoBeatz™ will only reconnect to the current transmitter, even after reboot or signal loss.

🔧 How to Toggle Between the Two Modes
Step-by-Step:

A. When the EchoBeatz™ and the transmitter are connected in Auracast™ mode :

Single-click and long-press the EchoBeatz 's power button, then you hear the prompt.

You'll hear either:

“dindong” → Auracast™ Searching Mode activated (Unlocked)

“ding” → Lock Pairing Mode activated (Locked)

Repeat the same operation to switch between modes.

B. When EchoBeatz™ and the transmitter are disconnected:

You can also perform the single-click + long press on the Power Button (without any prompt) to activate Auracast™ Searching Mode.

🔐 Why Lock Pairing Mode?
Locking EchoBeatz™ to one transmitter is ideal for:

  • Classroom assistive listening (students stay linked to one teacher's broadcast)
  • Guided tours (headsets remain on the correct guide’s transmission)
  • Personal TV listening (prevents interference from other home Auracast™ devices)
  • Shared environments (avoids unintended pairing with nearby sources)

📌 Important Notes
Firmware version v1.1.5‑T1 is required.

This feature only applies in Auracast™ Mode, not Bluetooth Classic mode.

No mobile app is needed to switch between modes—control is built into the headphones.
