EchoBeatz™ Firmware Update Announcement
New Lock Pairing Feature for Auracast™ Connections
We are excited to introduce a new firmware feature for EchoBeatz™ Auracast™ Headphones that allows users to lock pairing to a specific Auracast™ transmitter. This enhancement helps ensure a stable, exclusive, and uninterrupted listening experience in professional, educational, and assistive listening environments.
Two Auracast™ Pairing Modes
With Firmware Version V1.1.5-T1, EchoBeatz™ now supports two Auracast™ pairing modes that can be switched directly from the headphones.
1. Auracast™ Searching Mode (Unlocked)
Voice Prompt: “dindong”
EchoBeatz™ will scan for and connect to any available Auracast™ broadcast within range.
2. Lock Pairing Mode (Locked)
Voice Prompt: “ding”
EchoBeatz™ will only reconnect to the currently paired transmitter. Even after powering off, rebooting, or temporarily losing signal, the headphones will automatically reconnect to the same transmitter once it becomes available again.
How to Switch Between Pairing Modes
A. When EchoBeatz™ is Connected to an Auracast™ Transmitter
- Ensure EchoBeatz™ is connected to the desired Auracast™ transmitter.
- Perform a single click followed by a long press on the Power Button.
- Listen for the voice prompt:
- “dindong” → Auracast™ Searching Mode activated (Unlocked)
- “ding” → Lock Pairing Mode activated (Locked)
- Repeat the same operation to switch between the two modes.
B. When EchoBeatz™ is Not Connected
If EchoBeatz™ is disconnected from any transmitter, performing the same single click + long press operation will activate Auracast™ Searching Mode, allowing the headphones to discover nearby broadcasts.
Why Use Lock Pairing Mode?
Lock Pairing Mode is ideal when users need to stay connected to one specific audio source.
- Classroom Assistive Listening: Students remain connected to the teacher’s broadcast.
- Guided Tours: Participants stay connected to the correct guide’s transmission.
- Personal TV Listening: Prevents accidental connection to other Auracast™ devices at home.
- Shared Environments: Reduces unintended pairing with nearby broadcasts.
Important Notes
- Firmware Version V1.1.5-T1 or later is required.
- This feature is available only in Auracast™ Mode.
- Bluetooth® Classic mode is not affected.
- No mobile app is required to switch between modes. The control is built directly into the headphones.
Update to the Latest Firmware
To enable the new Lock Pairing feature, simply open the MoerLab Audio App and follow the on-screen instructions to upgrade your EchoBeatz™ headphones to the latest firmware version.
